Sydney SQL Server Enterprise User Group – February 2009

DBA: Best Practices for All DBAs to Follow

First and foremost I would like to thank all of the people that attended the very first Sydney SQL Server Enterprise User Group, we had in excess of 90 attendees!

My apologies to the last 17 people that pre-registered and the 19 people that showed up on the day that we had to turn away on the day. Unfortunately the venue that was booked was not able to hold that many people. This is something that I will address by the March Session.

Congratulations to Hari for winning the door prize, a license of the Idera SQL Admin Toolset (valued at AU $954) that was generously provided by Idera (www.idera.com) and Tony Finnemore from SQL Tools (www.sqltools.com.au).

Otherwise, thanks again to the positive feedback and the myriad of suggestions. I certainly plan to action a number of them.

As promised, please find the content from meeting posted below.
