Sydney SQL Server Enterprise User Group – April 2009

ARC: Reducing Your Storage Cost in SQL Server 2008

I hope that the April session was beneficial to DBAs, database developers and database architects alike. The feedback during the session about how organisations provision their storage for SQL Server was certainly “interesting”.

Congratulations to Rama for winning the door prize, a license of the Idera SQL Admin Toolset (valued at AU $954) that was generously provided by Idera (www.idera.com) and Tony Finnemore from SQL Tools (www.sqltools.com.au).

Please don’t forget that going forward the user group will start at 12:00 instead of 12:30. The new format will be:

  • 12:00 –12:30
    • Registration
    • Networking Opportunity
    • Demonstrations
  • 12:30 – 12:45
    • News
    • Case Studies
  • 12:45 –14:00
    • Session

As promised, please find the content from meeting posted below.
